After successfully completing “Project 19” in 18 unions and 1 municipality of Chakaria Upazila, young cyclist and environmentalist Mohammad Raffan has now successfully completed “Project 7” in environmental awareness in Pekua Upazila.
“Build a pollution-free world by riding a bicycle”—with this message, he traveled to seven unions of Pekua in collaboration with Chakaria Easy Riders Bicycle Club and M.R. Computers to spread the message of environmental awareness.
# Raffan's love for cycling and nature
A fan of cycling and nature since childhood, Raffan has always been proactive in protecting the environment. “Cycling takes me closer to nature and teaches me to see life from a new perspective,” said Raffan. He interacted with the people of Pekua to connect with nature and spread the message of creating a pollution-free environment.

Under Project 7, Raffan cycled to seven unions of Pekua—Ujantia, Rajakhali, Toitong, Barbakia, Pekua, Magnama, and Shilkhali—to raise awareness. Along the way, he discovered the local culture, people's lifestyles, and stories of struggle. He was fascinated by the natural beauty of Pekua, especially the diversity of rivers, mountains, and green fields.

The main goal of Raffan's initiative was to increase awareness among people about the environment. With the slogans "Build a pollution-free world by cycling" and "Experience nature by cycling," he tried to make the public understand the importance of protecting the environment.

Raffan is fascinated by the natural environment and heritage of Pekua. He is especially inspired by the picturesque view of the Kutubdia Channel and the hospitality of the locals. He says, “The stories of laughter, tears and struggles of the people of Pekua have given me a new perspective.”

“It is important for us to be aware to save nature,” Raffan said, noting, “I am happy to highlight the importance of creating a pollution-free environment among people through this campaign.”
